The experience of Immigrant Children Through Personal Narratives. Argentina in the Second Postwar
| The paper analyses the experience of immingrant children to Argentina during the second postwar years. Immigrant children are defined as those whose childhood and early adolescence was shaped by the experience of war, exile in refugee camps in Europe and later on overseas resettlement.
The study is based on oral testimonies of adults who migrated in their childhood from Spain, Belgium, Italy, France, Portugal and Yugoslavia to Argentina. By tracing their live trajectories, the paper intends to be an account that narrates and intepretes represetations and memory of those acute observers who experienced the social, cultural and familial world in a traumatic transit through a set of limitation on their choices based on their age.
