Consumption Routes, Habits and Goods in Eastern Finland in the Late Eighteenth Century
On the bases of a small sample of receipts from a manor in Eastern Finland betweeen 1790 and 1820 the consumpiton of a manorial house3hold can be anlaysed. On the bases of what and where goods were bought, the consumption networks can be illustrated. At the same time one can see how the consummption network changes when Finland changes from being a part of Sweden to becoming a Grand Duchy of Russia. The switched position and crossings over border will be discussed as well as how the consumption goods indicate what kind of everyday life the manors were engaged in.
