The Portuguese Communist Party, the Comintern and the Question of Antifascism
Although the adoption of antifascist politics was a general characteristic of Communist Parties after 1934, as a matter of fact these politics presented many differences. In this paper I consider the peculiarities of the evolution of the Portuguese Communist Party against the background of the transition from the First Republic to the Salazar regime (1926-1934) in relation to the specifics of Portuguese antifascist politics and culture.
