Up From Colonialism
| This paper examines labor unionism in the Hawaiian Sugar Cane industry during the 1940s, focusing on workers organized through the ILWU. It examines the overthrow of the colonial political and labor order through during and immediately after World War II, highlighted by the general strike of 1946 in the sugar cane industry.
It is part of a panel proposal that will be submitted by Professor Lars Olsson of Vaxjo University, Vaxjo Sweden.
