School Bullying through the 20th Century: a historical perspective of research in Bulgaria and the U.S.
| A team of pedagogues from a university in Bulgaria and a respective team of pedagogues from university in the American Midwest research in both countries the history of studying school bulling throughout the 20th century.
Accelerating social and technological changes in the last decades, such as globalization, mass media, technology, etc. pose difficult questions to educators and social workers. By the time they can come up with a plan for prevention of school violence, the latter finds other venues for expression.
The need of the study is resulted by the increasing growth of school violence, not only in the U.S., but globally. A historical perspective can help anticipate and plan better a reaction to school bullying.
