Friendship and networks in medieval Scandinavia.
| Prof. dr. J. Sigurdsson studies the social relations, and relations (and networks) of friendship in particular, of Icelandic medieval society. He argues that friendship was the main social bond being the main foundation of the whole society. In his paper, he will illustrate this with some Icelandic examples, and he will also treat several aspects of necessary future research.
